Only TRASCO is officially accredited to protect Defender. Jaguar Land Rover has awarded the “Accredited Converter” status for the protected Defender 110 & 130 officially and exclusively to TRASCO, one of the world’s leading commercial armored vehicle providers. The Defender A-KIP® (Anti-Kidnapping Protection) program was developed in collaboration with JLR – and is documented on Land Rover’s own official channels.

The accreditation – milestones
- October 2022
- Official announcement of the cooperation – JLR awards TRASCO the exclusive “Accredited Converter” status for the Defender 110 A-KIP®.
- May 2023
- Technical engineering audit passed within the Jaguar Land Rover Accredited Fleet Modifier Programme.
- Since then
- Program extended to the Defender 130 – with constant data exchange between the engineers in Britain and the TRASCO design team in Bremen.

Every A-KIP® conversion is engineered and manufactured in-house at TRASCO. Trim parts are developed in-house and covered with original OEM fabrics – comfort, ergonomics and aesthetics remain as the factory intended.
